Flydubai has added Batumi in Georgia to its seasonal summer schedule.

The low-cost carrier, which currently operates to Tbilisi International Airport (TBS), will also operate a three times weekly service to Batumi International Airport (BUS) from May 12 until September 1.

Known as the 'Pearl of the Black Sea', Batumi is Georgia's second largest city, located in the country's southwest region.

It's a popular tourist destination known for its beaches, restaurants, cafés, dancing fountains and its popular Ferris Wheel.

"We are pleased to relaunch our operations to Batumi which has been a popular summer destination for our passengers in previous years. We remain focused on adding more options for travel this summer with the expectation that international travel restrictions will have eased," said Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai.

Emirates Airline will codeshare on flights to Batumi, offering travellers more seamless connections through Dubai’s international aviation hub to 155 destinations between both the Emirates and flydubai networks.

Flights from Dubai International's (DXB) Terminal 2 to Batumi International Airport (BUS) will operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
