UAE, Slovenia to enhance bilateral trade

​The Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, has discussed strengthening economic relations and enhancing trade with the Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Economy headquarters in Dubai, the two discussed a framework for developing the existing economic partnerships, the expansion of areas of cooperation, and the opening of direct channels of communication between the UAE private sector and its Slovenian counterpart.

In addition, they explored ways to double imports and exports in vital sectors of common interest, as well as future investments.

Dr. Al Zeyoudi underlined the strength of the UAE-Slovenia growing economic partnership and the importance of enhancing economic cooperation through the Joint Economic Committee and the agreements signed between the two friendly countries.

The discussions also covered increasing the number of direct flights between the two nations.
