Beyoncé drops surprise new single

Beyoncé has dropped a surprise new single, 'Formation'. The 'Drunk In Love' hitmaker unveiled the unexpected track on her husband Jay Z's streaming service TIDAL and is offering fans the chance to hear and download the song on the site for free. In the catchy track, she sings: "Y'all haters corny with that illuminati mess / Paparazzi, catch my fly, and my cocky fresh / I'm so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress (stylin') / I'm so possessive so I rock his Roc necklaces ... "Okay, okay, ladies, now let's get in formation, cause I slay / Okay ladies, now let's get in formation, cause I slay / Prove to me you got some coordination / Slay trick, or you get eliminated." And in true Beyoncé fashion, the 34-year-old singer also posted an accompanying video for the track, which features her four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. The video appears to have a strong message running through it. Filmed in New Orleans, it seems to hint at the current controversies surrounding police brutality specifically relating to black people in America. The video begins with a shot of Beyoncé stood on top of a floating police car whilst a still of a piece of graffiti, which reads 'Stop shooting us', is also shown part-way through the video.
