Britain's King Charles is set to reveal his favourite music artists with a personal playlist, in an Apple Music project that celebrates music from Commonwealth countries.

Artists such as Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue and Grace Jones are just some of the stars on King Charles' playlist, which are said to lift his spirits and bring back important memories.

King Charles was photographed as part of the project at Buckingham Palace in what was called the King's 'Music Room'.

"Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me," the King says in the video launching the project".

"It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories flooding back from the deepest recesses of our memory, to comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places.

"But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration.

"In other words, it brings us joy."
