Clothes and other famous items from the hit TV show Friends have gone under the hammer, with a sweater worn by Matthew Perry and the iconic Central Perk couch among the top sellers.

The auction, which marked the 30th anniversary of the show, saw Perry's jumper fetch more than six times its estimate when the hammer came down.

The biggest seller was a studio reproduction of the famous orange sofa, which sold for $29,250 (AED 107,000) - 15 times its original estimate.

Perry's jumper, as seen in 'The One With the Holiday Armadillo' episode, sold for $6,500 (AED 24,000). Perry wore the item in the scene where Monica, played by Courteney Cox, says she won't be changing her name to Bing - the surname of Perry's character, Chandler.

Other items included props, furniture and clothing worn by the cast and special guest stars, including a pink outfit donned by Winona Ryder, which sold for $2,600 (AED 9,500) and a white shirt worn by Bruce Willis which fetched $3,250 (AED 12,000).
