Rihanna to drop Anti by surprise this week

Rihanna will reportedly release her new album 'Anti' this Friday (29.01.16). Fans have been waiting in anticipation for months for the R&B superstar to drop her eighth LP - which was at one point expected to come out at the end of last November - and they will finally get to hear the full record by the end of the week when she drops it without warning. A source told The Sun newspaper: "The album is going to take the music world by storm. There's been so much hype surrounding the album and Rihanna has put a lot of pressure on herself to follow up her past work. Both her and people who have heard it think this album is going to dominate. She thinks it will win her a Grammy." Earlier this week, Rihanna revealed she had finally completed the album when she posted a photo of herself wearing a gold crown and £6,000 Dolce & Gabbana gold headphones on Twitter along with the caption "listening to Anti". The 27-year-old singer has premiered the first track from the LP, and has uploaded a link to streaming service Tidal - owned by her mentor and Roc Nation label boss Jay Z - so her fans can listen to 'Work', which features Drake. 'Anti' is the Bajan beauty's first studio album since 2012's 'Unapologetic'. Rihanna is believed to be performing at the upcoming Grammy Awards on February 15 and is expected to join Coldplay earlier in the month at their Super Bowl half-time show on February 7.
