Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has inaugurated the 2025 edition of Art Dubai
The international art fair, now one of the region’s most prominent cultural events, brings together over 120 galleries from 65 cities across five continents, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global hub for the arts.
Sheikha Latifa toured key exhibitions, engaging with artists and gallerists across sections including Contemporary, Modern, Digital and Bawwaba.
She described Art Dubai as “a celebration of creativity and a reflection of the cultural diversity that defines our city,” adding that platforms like these ensure art and innovation remain central to Dubai’s future.
On the sidelines of the fair, Her Highness also visited the Common Grounds exhibition, curated by Zayed University students as part of a unique academic collaboration with the Dubai Collection.
The exhibition showcases works from 1949 to 2024 and highlights the role of youth in shaping cultural narratives.
A new partnership between Dubai Culture and Zayed University was also signed during the event, opening doors for students to gain hands-on experience in the cultural sector.
