WAM

Dubai Design Week is set to celebrate its 10th edition between November 5-10, 2024 and will feature over 500 designers and brands from more than 40 countries.

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, the festival will showcase a rich programme of new commissions, exhibitions, and events, reflecting on a decade of design evolution and its impact on the UAE and GCC’s burgeoning interior design and furniture markets.

This year’s festival, held in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), part of TECOM Group PJSC, and supported by Dubai Culture, will highlight the vibrant design scene that has flourished over the past ten years.

The UAE and GCC's interior design and furniture markets are now collectively valued at approximately $26 billion (AED 95 billion), underscoring the festival's importance in celebrating and advancing the region’s design industry.

Dubai Design Week 2024 aims to honor the local community and creative talent that have shaped Dubai’s reputation as a global design hub.

Senior Vice President of d3, Khadija Al Bastaki, highlighted the role of creative industries in fueling the economy and shaping cultural identity.

“Dubai’s focus on nurturing creative communities has led to a rich, multicultural design narrative that mirrors the Emirate’s ambitions. Dubai Design Week has been crucial in this journey, providing a platform for both local and international talent while addressing global design themes such as diversity, sustainability, and belonging. We are excited to introduce ‘Editions’ this year, in partnership with d3, which aims to shape the future of Dubai’s creative economy.”
