The Dubai Metro Music Festival returns later this month for a week-long celebration of diverse global rhythms and melodies.

The fourth edition, which runs from September 21 to 27, will transform five major metro stations - The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC - into vibrant musical hubs.

Metro commuters can look forward to daily performances by 20 talented musicians from both the UAE and around the world. These artists will showcase a wide range of instruments and musical styles, adding a unique touch to the daily commute.

Rashed Al Mulla, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), highlighted the festival's significance, noting it coincides with the Dubai Metro's 15th anniversary.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, expressed excitement about the festival's return, which has become a beloved annual event.

She emphasised that this year's event will feature an extraordinary lineup of global talent, turning everyday commutes into vibrant showcases of artistic excellence.

Festival-goers can expect a rich variety of performances, from classical to contemporary, including unique acts featuring instruments like the Qanun, accordion, and even homemade creations.

Highlights include a performance by a nine-year-old Qanun prodigy, a piano showcase by a 14-year-old Emirati boy with autism, and innovative acts using recycled materials.

The festival will also feature beatboxing, a puppet show with live music, and dynamic drumming performances with light effects. Performances will be held daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, rotating across all five metro stations.
