Clarence Seedorf and Khabib Nurmagomedov are partnering to launch a Dubai-based football school.

The announcement was made by the two sportspersons during a news conference, where they revealed that the space will combine teachings from football and mixed martial arts.

The parent figure, SK Sports Holding, is headquartered at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, and seeks to establish local and regional partnerships by using Dubai as a launchpad.

According to the national news agency WAM, "the decision to base the company’s headquarters in DMCC was formed through long-term friendships with its Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, Ahmed Bin Sulayem."

The new partnership aims to support and develop a new generation of young sporting enthusiasts in the UAE.

The company has an ambitious target of opening 10 locations around the world in the next 5 years.

Seedorf is among the greatest footballers of all time. He is the only player in football history to have won the UEFA Champions League with three different clubs - with Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

Undefeated UFC champion Khabib, a huge football fan himself, has long since been known for his charitable and community work in his native Dagestan and globally – since retiring from MMA last year this commitment has only grown.
