Abu Dhabi emergency centre awarded international accreditation

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Centre (ADCMC) has been awarded the Institutional Readiness and Resilience Accreditation from the Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI), making it one of three global entities to receive this accreditation annually. 

This accreditation enhances the center’s ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies, crises and disasters.

The center obtained accreditation after an optimal evaluation of the level of institutional maturity in the specialised field, through conducting a comprehensive review of the main documents to ensure that they meet the center’s goals and tasks, and are consistent with future aspirations in this field. 

This included operational documents and procedures, assessment and planning processes, testing plan and awareness training plans, crisis communication plan, incident and emergency management plan, and other relevant operational documents and procedures.

His Excellency Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, appreciated the great efforts made by the center.

He said that this international accreditation is a true translation of its ambitious strategy to build and develop an integrated and flexible emergency, crisis and disaster system characterised by high readiness according to the highest international standards.

He added that this accreditation confirms the deep commitment to achieving a high level of readiness that is in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and its future vision in preparing the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to face any future challenges or crises with confidence and efficiency, stressing the continuation of enhancing local and international confidence and leadership in the ability of institutions to adapt to complex circumstances.
