Ajman passes general budget of AED 3.7b for 2025

H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman has approved a 2025 budget of AED 3.7 billion, with the main focus being on community welfare and economic development. 

The emirate's general budget for 2025 shows its interest in four main sectors: quality of life at 39 per cent, economic development at 20 per cent, public services and government innovation at 27 per cent, and security and safety at 14 per cent.

The budget reportedly aims to develop society, public security, and safety, develop infrastructure and community facilities, support economic development plans, and attract investment.

The 2025 budget targets vary between upgrading digital systems and building an advanced digital government that contributes to driving economic development and providing exceptional services to customers, continuing plans to expand road networks, parks and green spaces, supporting the green building policy, extending rainwater drainage networks, in addition to expanding community and cultural activities.

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, said the well-being, stability, security and happiness of the members of society will remain at the top of the priorities of the Ajman government, which is always keen to provide them with the opportunity to contribute effectively to the comprehensive development process of the emirate and build its prosperous future in order to enhance the emirate’s position as a preferred destination for living, working and tourism.

His Highness said that the budget witnessed growth in expenditures, which was reflected in increased spending on public services, developing the emirate’s infrastructure, community initiatives and enhancing the quality of life.
