Dubai Police have summoned a motorcyclist for performing dangerous stunts at speeds exceeding 300 km/h on two separate bikes.

Major General Saif Mahir Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic, said the rider was identified after two videos showing him speeding and performing dangerous manoeuvres, including riding on one wheel, went viral on social media.

The videos, filmed at different locations across the emirate, showed the rider endangering his life and others.

Al Mazrouei emphasised the police's commitment to using advanced technology and expert officers to identify violators.

Despite the rider's attempts to hide his identity, Dubai Police successfully tracked him down and referred him to the relevant authorities for legal action.

His motorcycle has been impounded, and he faces a penalty of AED50,000 for getting the bike released.

Al Mazrouei warned that reckless driving and stunts put both riders and pedestrians at significant risk, with statistics showing that 80 per cent of such violators are involved in serious accidents.

He also called on the community to report dangerous behaviour through the Police Eye feature on the Dubai Police app or the We Are All Police hotline at 901.
