The UAE has confirmed 477 new cases of COVID-19, while two patients have died and another 93 have recovered.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the latest cases were detected through its intensified investigation and examination procedures.
All of them are in a stable condition.
More than 24,000 additional tests have been carried out in recent days as part of the ministry's strategy to identify, isolate and treat as many patients as possible in the early stages itself.
The authority also revealed that the two patients who died were suffering from chronic diseases.
This brings the total number of cases diagnosed in the country to 6,302, of which 5,077 are active, while there have been 1,188 recoveries and 37 deaths so far.
The FTA announced that the cumulative total of approved applications by UAE nationals who received VAT-refunds for the expenses they have incurred for the construction of their newly built residences reached 34,900 applications valued at AED 2.9 billion.
