COVID-19: All events in Dubai to be suspended

All events in Dubai have been called off until the end of this month, while entertainment destinations have been asked to suspend operations as well.

According to the Dubai Media Office, wedding gatherings at hospitality establishments and public halls have also been suspended.

Inspections will be carried out by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) to ensure compliance with the rule.

Similar measures were announced in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, with the emirate shutting down major tourist sites and cultural venues as a precautionary step to limit the spread of COVID-19.
