COVID-19 outbreak forces cancellation of UAE Tour 2020

The remaining stages of the 2020 UAE Tour have been cancelled after two Italian participants tested positive for the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19.

According to the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the decision to call off the race was taken to ensure the safety and protection of all participants.

Meanwhile the UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention said that all participants, administrative staff and organisers of the UAE Tour will be screened for the coronavirus.

They said that all needed procedures, including quarantine measures, will be taken to ensure the virus doesen't spread.
