Dubai date with Philippine President Marcos rescheduled

A new date has been set for Filipino expats to meet their President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in Dubai, organisers announced citing "unforeseen circumstances" for rescheduling the event.

The event at the Dubai World Trade Centre will now be held on November 30 from 4:30 pm.

The Philippine missions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi said those who have already registered online will receive another email to confirm their attendance.

They added that online registration is still open. 

The event is only open to Filipinos who have registered online and are aged above 18 will be allowed to participate.

The dress code is set as "smart casual or Filipiniana", with the advisory adding that "large bags, selfie sticks, umbrellas and other items such as posters, banners, placards, and streamers will not be allowed inside the venue" for "security reasons".
