Dubai Police unveils UAE's first all-women land rescue team

Dubai Police have celebrated the graduation of the first female land rescue team in the UAE, consisting of 18 non-commissioned officers.

The all-women force will work alongside their male colleagues in emergency operations.

Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, praised the graduates for their achievements in specialised land rescue training, highlighting Dubai Police's commitment to empowering women in security and military roles.

"Emirati women play a crucial role in our nation's development, and we are proud to have this pioneering team ready to work alongside their male counterparts," he said.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operation Affairs, also commended the graduates, noting their impressive skills in handling real-life scenarios during their training.

The graduation ceremony showcased various rescue scenarios, including road accident response and firefighting techniques.

The graduates expressed pride in their role as trailblazers in the field, reflecting the ongoing commitment of Dubai Police to support women in the sector.
