His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has reviewed the progress of a AED 1.4 billion residential project taking shape in Dubai's Wadi Al Amardi.
The Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Housing Project includes the construction of 672 villas, alongside essential amenities such as endowment markets, a mosque, a public park and other service facilities to support Emirati families.
Overseen directly by Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Sheikh Mohammed, the initiative is named in honour of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
It also supports the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme, which aims to enhance the well-being of Emirati families by promoting stability, community values and work-life balance.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that the new project exemplifies Dubai’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, providing citizens with a fully integrated environment that fosters comfort and well-being.
He emphasised that these efforts strengthen family and social stability while contributing to the emirate’s development and global standing.
The project, developed by Sheikh Mohammed’s engineering office, will be delivered in four phases, with the first phase of 124 homes set for completion in 2026.
The remaining phases will be completed between 2027 and 2032.
This initiative is aligned with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, focusing on sustainable development, family stability, and the creation of vibrant residential communities.
