Air travellers are urged to double-check their flight bookings when flying out of Dubai over the next 45 days.
That's because some airlines will temporarily move operations from Dubai International (DXB) to Al Maktoum International (DWC) and Sharjah International Airport due to the maintenance work on the southern runway.
In a tweet, Emirates Airline urged passengers to arrive at least three hours ahead of their departure during the 45-day runway closure, that begins tomorrow.
They are also reminded to check-in online as early as 48 hours to ensure smooth operations.
The southern runway is set to reopen on May 30.
Emirates urges customers departing @DXB to arrive early during the Southern Runway closure from 16 April to 30 May. Emirates has extended the opening time of its gates to provide ample time for customers to board their flights. https://t.co/WMxPPtJN1u pic.twitter.com/MOuhOhSQ28
