Illness forces J Balvin to cancel Abu Dhabi concert

J Balvin's concert as part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week has been cancelled.

The reggaetón star has had to pull out of his scheduled Thursday gig due to an unfortunate illness, according to a statement released by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi.

It said all ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund as per the terms and conditions, with funds returned automatically to cards used for purchase.

Ticket holders will also be entitled to a 30 percent discount on the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert on September 4, subject to availability. 

The concert was meant to be part of a line up of entertainment in the run up to the UFC 242 headline event on September 7.
