KHDA: Dubai school fees to remain unchanged

School fees will remain unchanged even if a child continues their distance learning programme for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Those are the words of Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

Al Karam took part in the #AskDXBOfficial initiative launched by the Dubai Media Office to answer some questions about the new academic year.

He explained that some schools can choose to reduce fees on a case-by-case basis in order to relieve the financial burdens some parents are facing.

Al Karam said it is perfectly normal for parents to feel nervous about sending their children back to school.

He explained that parents can visit school campuses and contact teachers to gain more confidence about sending their kids back to school.

When asked about distance learning, Al Karam explained that only certain children with special cases will be given the exception.

He clarified that nothing can compare to the classroom experience.
