A medical clinic that will offer reverse ageing is set to open its doors in Dubai early next year.
Aviv Clinics Dubai - the first of its kind in the region and the second worldwide - will offer a transformative medical programme backed by more than a decade of research and clinical trials.
To be set up in Jumeriah Lake Towers, the Aviv Clinic’s medical programme has been led by Prof. Shai Efrati and his team at the medical research institute Sagol School of Neuroscience at Shamir Medical Center in Israel.
They had recently completed its first successful human clinical trial, which combined "Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) protocols" with the latest neuroscience, physiology research and advanced imaging methods.
According to Prof. Shai Efrati, participants of the study showed a significant impact on key hallmarks of the ageing process - an increase in the length of telomeres and reduction in senescent cells.
That's not all. The clinic will also offer comprehensive assessments and introduce physical and cognitive training to improve mental acuity and physical performance.
"Since telomere shortening is considered the “Holy Grail” of the biology of ageing, many pharmacological and environmental interventions are being extensively explored in the hopes of enabling telomere elongation," said Prof. Shai Efrati.
"The significant improvement of telomere length shown during and after our unique HBOT protocols provides the scientific community with a new foundation for understanding that ageing can, indeed, be targeted and reversed at the basic cellular biological level."
The new facility reflects the UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda and is consistent with Dubai’s vision for the next 50 years, adopting cutting-edge innovations to become a leading international healthcare hub.
