The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has allocated 15 buses and 40 taxis to transport people who have recovered from COVID-19 and their family and loved ones.

The decision was made in coordination with the Dubai Health Authority.

The buses will be used to lift recovering patients to their homes, and transfer passengers from and to Dubai International.

A hotline has also been set up for contacting Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management to lift contact cases to specific quarantine areas.

It assured the public that it’s taking all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of drivers and riders, including sanitising the vehicles after each journey and ensuring physical distancing on each trip.
