Sharjah Ruler receives 2024 Nile Award for Arab Innovators

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, was awarded the prestigious 2024 Nile Award for Arab Innovators during a ceremony on Thursday.

The event was attended by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah.

Egypt's Minister of Culture, Ahmed Fouad Hano, presented the award, recognising His Highness' significant contributions to literature, arts, and social sciences. 

H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan expressed gratitude to Egypt for the honor, reflecting on the country's profound impact on Arab culture and his own academic experiences at Cairo University.

Minister Hano commended H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan for his tireless efforts in promoting Arab cultural identity and expressed the appreciation of both the Egyptian and Arab communities for his initiatives. He presented H.H. with a comprehensive encyclopedia of ancient Egyptian history as a token of appreciation.

The Nile Award celebrate H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan's leadership and commitment to cultural advancement, highlighted by initiatives such as "Knowledge Without Borders" and "Library in Every Home." 

His authorship of over 94 works further enriches libraries worldwide, solidifying his role as a prominent advocate for culture and education in the Arab world.
