Sheikh Mohamed offers condolences to Pakistani PM over PIA crash

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi has extended his sincere condolences to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan following the tragic plane crash in Karachi.

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane ploughed into a residential neighbourhood as it approached the Karachi airport last Friday.

There were 97 fatalities and two survivors.

During the telephone conversation, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings and discussed ways to advance bilateral relations between the two countries.

Their conversation also touched upon an array of regional and international issues of common interest, including the global fight against COVID-19.
