Police in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah have reminded pedestrians about the dangers of crossing roads at undesignated places via social media videos.
Footage shared on Abu Dhabi Police's social media handle shows pedestrians narrowly missing oncoming vehicles as they dart across a four-lane highway.
Another video on the RAK Police handle shows pedestrians what's right, and what's not.
Those caught violating the law will face AED 400 in fines.
Meanwhile, motorists who do not give way at pedestrian crossings will face AED 500 and 4 black points.
