UAE condemns terrorist attack in Kabul

The UAE has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in front of the General Prosecution’s headquarters in Kabul on Monday.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) affirmed that the UAE vehemently rejects all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability in contravention of international law.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to Afghanistan and its brotherly people, and to the families of the victims of this heinous crime, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.

On Monday, an attacker detonated a bomb in front of the the Afghanistan government’s prosecution service building in southern Qala-e-Bakhtiar area, Kabul, killing six people and injuring 13 others. IS claimed responsibility for the attack on its social media platform a day later. The bomber reportedly waited until government employees finished their shifts and then detonated the explosive in the middle of a crowd, the post said.
