Dubai to host new IIM campus and UAE-India Friendship Hospital

India’s top business school, IIM Ahmedabad, is set to open a new campus in Dubai, and plans are also underway for a UAE-India Friendship Hospital in the city.

The announcements were made during a special event organised by Dubai Chambers in Mumbai, attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister.

In total, eight MoUs were signed to boost cooperation in sectors like healthcare, education, infrastructure, logistics, maritime services and private sector engagement.

The deals aim to strengthen economic and knowledge ties between the UAE and India.

In the second phase, IIM-A will be allotted land for the establishment of a permanent campus, which is expected to become operational by 2029.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Hamdan said: "These MoUs broaden and deepen our strategic partnership in line with our mutual commitment to creating resilient economies, empowering communities, and advancing knowledge, technology, and human development. Together, we are advancing a model of international cooperation that delivers real impact and long-term benefits for the people of our two countries."
