International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde believes global economic growth next year will be ‘disappointing’ and uneven. Lagarde was quoted by a German newspaper saying the financial sector in many countries still has weaknesses, while the financial risks in emerging markets are increasing. She added that low productivity, aging populations and the effects of the global financial crisis will likely slow down growth in the medium and long term.
