Gwen Stefani regrets Gavin Rossdale split

Gwen Stefani wishes she hadn't split from Gavin Rossdale. The 'Voice' USA coach called time on her 13-year marriage with the country singer, with whom she has children Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 20 months, in August but hates the way it has panned out between them. Speaking on Washington D.C.'s radio programme 'The Tommy Show', she said: "I wish it didn't happen. I wish this that all this wasn't happening but at the same time, I feel like it was part of my life journey." The 'Hollaback Girl' hitmaker, 46, has admitted there are "so many bad things" about her fragile relationship with her estranged husband, 50, but she hasn't let her stopped her from finding love again with newly-single Blake Shelton, 39. She added: "I've got a lot of joy right now." However, the happiness she feels at present has proved just how unhappy she was with Gavin, and she can see that now in her past music. She explained: "Because of my situation right now... I feel like I go back and listen to a lot of that stuff and I'm, like, I get sick. You look at the songs and go, 'That was a red flag!' " But despite it being an emotional and heartbreaking time, Gwen believes some of her best work has come after the breakdown of some of her serious relationships. She said: "In my life, I've had two really bad heartbreaks and I've written some really incredible music out of it. I feel so lucky to have that, and to be able to share it."
