Despite being on a break, One Direction has won an award for best live act. The now-four-piece boyband beat out Ed Sheeran and Adele to win the Silver Clef Award – which is voted for by the public. Previous winners have included Lionel Richie, Massive Attack and Jess Glynne. The event raises money for Nordoff Robins music therapy charity.
