Dubai Mall cements position as world’s most visited place

Dubai Mall achieved remarkable growth in footfall for the first half of 2024, cementing its position as the world’s most visited place.

The retail and leisure destination attracted 57 million visitors during the first half of 2024, in comparison to 52 million for the same period in 2023.

Growth in retail sales ranged from 8 per cent to 15 per cent over the same period last year.

"Dubai Mall continues to set new benchmarks in retail and leisure, drawing millions from around the world. We are committed to enhancing every aspect of the mall to constantly cement its position as a premier global destination,” said Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar.

Dubai Mall solidified its status as the most visited place on Earth in 2023, recording 105 million visitors, with a 19 per cent increase from the previous year.

Inaugurated in 2008, Dubai Mall has more than 1,200 retail outlets, and spans an area of 1.2 million square metres.
