The third edition of the UAE Rescue Challenge has kicked off at Dubai Police Training City in Al Ruwayyah, with 14 teams competing in simulated high-risk emergency scenarios designed to test their speed, efficiency and teamwork.

The challenge, organised in collaboration with the World Rescue Organisation (WRO), provides a real-world testing ground for professional rescue teams to refine their coordination and execution under pressure.

The scenarios are designed to be as realistic and intense as possible, incorporating unpredictable weather conditions as well as high-pressure rescue environments.

From extricating victims in high-impact vehicle crashes to handling multi-casualty incidents, teams must demonstrate precision, speed and innovation.

The 14 participating teams feature 11 from the UAE (including two all-female squads, one representing Dubai Police and the other from the National Guard) and three from international rescue units.

The challenge includes three main categories: Standard Road Accident Rescue, Complex Rescue Operations and Trauma Response Scenarios.

A total of 14 teams are battling in road accident rescue simulations, while nine are competing in intensive trauma response missions.

The top three teams in each category will be awarded based on technical precision, response time and execution of advanced rescue techniques.
