A groundbreaking new exhibition that blends art, technology and nature has been unveiled at the Museum of the Future.
The immersive experience titled 'Earth Dreams' was launched during the Dubai Future Forum week.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, toured the exhibition, which imagines the complex relationship between technological and artistic innovation in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
It presents a series of immersive data paintings imagining a world where human memory, machine intelligence and the rhythms of nature merge.
Created by Refik Anadol Studio in collaboration with the museum, the exhibition uses millions of images from nature, satellite data and meteorological information.
Through the use of over 30 projectors and generative AI, the installation crafts a stunning visual symphony that showcases the beauty and complexity of our planet.
'Earth Dreams' unfolds in three chapters, offering a unique form of synesthetic storytelling, inviting visitors to explore a dynamic, interconnected world in a dream-like, interactive experience.
Chapter 1: AIR
The first chapter presents a series of AI data paintings based on cloud and atmospheric imagery, offering a breathtaking view of the skies.
Chapter 2: LAND
The second chapter intertwines extensive datasets of Earth imagery and meteorological data, generating a multisensory exploration of the beauty of our planet.
Chapter 3: WATER
In the final interactive chapter, the boundaries between past and future, Artificial Intelligence and living beings, thought and physical action, all merge into one seamless experience.
