The UAE's National Day celebration will now be known as 'Eid Al Etihad', a title that reflects the spirit of the nation's unity.
It emphasises the theme of Union (Etihad), which is central to the country’s identity, symbolising heritage, unity, strength and national pride.
The occasion honours the historic moment on December 2, 1971, when the United Arab Emirates was founded through the unification of seven emirates.
Once again, celebrations will be held across the country, with Eid Al Etihad Zones set up in all seven Emirates, offering a wide range of family-friendly activities, cultural performances and interactive displays.
These festivities will showcase the rich cultural diversity of the UAE, promoting inclusivity and shared values that drive the nation's progress.
Every effort, every dream, every aspiration has shaped our beloved country 🇦🇪
