Police in Abu Dhabi have given a critically ill teenager the chance to fulfil her dream.

They flew 14-year-old Halima Al Balooshi on a helicopter from Al Tawam Hospital in Al Ain to a luxury beach resort, where she enjoyed the sunshine and sound of the waves.

Halima had dreamed of being a mermaid and said she'd use the experience to give her the strength to continue on her recovery.
