Senior officials from Dubai's frontline services have been receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
Khalifa bin Dary, Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation, had his first jab on Saturday.
Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, also received his primary injection.
It's the third week of the Dubai Health Authority’s free vaccination drive against the virus.
Frontline workers, senior citizens, Dubai residents over the age of 60, and those with chronic diseases are being given priority.
The second phase is due to start in April and will be open to all eligible Dubai visa-holders who wish to take part.
