As many as 66,219 people in the UAE have received the COVID-19 vaccine over the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), it brings the total number of vaccine doses provided so far across the nation to 1,086,568, at 10.99 doses per 100 people.
The number of people who have received two doses of the vaccine has reached more than 250,000.
MoHAP and other health authorities recently launched a national campaign to encourage people to get vaccinated, especially the elderly, and those with chronic diseases.
It's in line with the government's plan to vaccinate more than 50 per cent of the country's population against COVID-19 during the first quarter of 2021.
Today with entry into the planning phase for recovery and availability of the vaccine, the Ministry urges all members of society to take the vaccine for the health and safety of society and protection from diseases and pandemics.#TogetherWeRecover
