Metro commuters will soon be able to travel from DMCC to Ibn Battuta station without having to get off and use the shuttle bus service.

From April 19, the tracks between the two stations will be reopened for trains.

The direct link between the two stations had been closed since January 5 2018, to carry out work on the Route 2020 project.

It involved the construction of a brand new station that will be linked with the existing station.

Accordingly, Nakheel Harbour and Tower station and the attached multi-level parking terminal had been fully closed.
