Fifty-six establishments have been fined in Dubai for violating the COVID-19 precautionary guidelines.
The outlets were pulled up by Dubai Economy during the latest round of inspections conducted across open markets, shopping malls and other commercial entities.
Twenty restaurants and cafes were caught providing dine-in services after the allocated working hours, while 32 outlets located in shopping malls were fined for failure to ensure social distancing and wearing face masks.
Four shops in the open market were also penalised for non-compliance with precautionary measures.
The non-compliant outlets are located in Al Barsha, Hor Al Anz, Dubai Marina, and Saih Shuaib.
Dubai Economy has called on the public to report any violations through the Dubai Consumer App, the number 600545555, or via the consumerrights.ae website.
