Dubai State Security nabs Danish crime boss in sting operation

Dubai's State Security have arrested Amir Faten Mekky, leader of a dangerous crime ring, following a sting operation.

In a series of Tweets, the Dubai Media Office said the Danish national, who had evaded security forces across Europe, was arrested on June 4 after special forces raided his "place of residence".

Mekky, who is involved in crimes like murder, drug trafficking and money laundering, had entered the country in 2018.

He is currently being investigated and preparations are underway to hand him over to the relevant authorities.
