UAE continues aid distribution to Gaza

WAM

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has distributed more humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as part of the "Galant Knight 3" humanitarian operation launched by the UAE to support the Palestinian people.

Over 311,730 individuals have benefited from the initiative, receiving vital supplies like food parcels, relief kits containing essential hygiene items, and tents.

The ERC had also operated 11 charity kitchens to distribute meals to displaced people in Rafah, Khan Yunis and the Central Governorate.

The UAE, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been providing relief aid since the conflict broke out on October 7 and $20 million in urgent aid through the UNRWA.

Additionally, 1,000 critically-ill Palestinians in Gaza were flown to the UAE for treatment.

A comprehensive field hospital was also set up within Gaza and six water desalination plants were built to provide clean water to over 600,000 residents.

The "Tarahum - for Gaza" campaign was launched, and an annual winter campaign, “Be Their Warmth”, helped deliver 1.65 million winter clothing items and blankets to Palestinians impacted by the war.
