Freej fans mourn death of Emirati artist Majid Al Falasi

Emirati actor Majid Al Falasi, who lent his voice to Um Saeed in the animated series Freej, has passed away at the age of 33.

According to reports Al Falasi's death was reported on Sunday and the cause of death remains unspecified.

Al Falasi began his artistic journey in 2006 with Freej, and the show has since become one of the most beloved animations in the region, even being translated into Japanese.

Freej gained popularity since its launch, inspiring theatre productions, merchandise and music. 

It was also the first Arab-produced animation to be exported to Japan.
