UAE President announces $100 million in aid to Ukraine

The UAE will send additional humanitarian aid worth $100 million to Ukraine.

It comes following the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The aid package is meant for Ukrainian civilians affected by the ongoing crisis.

Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, said that the provision of additional aid stems from Sheikh Mohamed's belief in the importance of solidarity in times of war and conflict, and the UAE's continued efforts to mitigate the humanitarian impact of the Ukraine crisis.

She also highlighted that the UAE has provided similar assistance in recent months to Ukrainian civilians, in addition to sending planes carrying aid to Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Moldova in response to an urgent appeal by the United Nations.
