The President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received condolences from regional leaders on the death of his uncle, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
The President received a cable of condolence over the passing of Sheikh Tahnoun from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
King Salman expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to His Highness the President and the Al Nahyan family on the passing of Sheikh Tahnoun, praying to Allah Almighty to grant him eternal paradise.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed received a similar cable of condolence from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
The President received similar cables of condolence from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain; His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar; and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman.
Earlier, His Highness received telephone calls from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye; and His Excellency Najib Mikati, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon, expressing their condolences on the passing of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
During the calls, they also offered their condolences to all members of the Al Nahyan family and the people of the UAE, asking God Almighty to bestow peace and mercy upon the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed and grant patience and solace to all at this time of grief.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed underscored his appreciation to the leaders for the sincere sentiment expressed towards the late Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed, stressing the strength of the relations that unite the UAE with their countries and their shared keenness to further bolster ties.
