UAE takes part in major summit in Beijing

Dubai’s Ruler is taking part in a global summit on China's Belt and Road initiative.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is among 37 world leaders at the forum in Beijing, which runs until Saturday.

The Belt and Road Initiative is a key foreign policy strategy of China to revive ancient trading routes between Asia and Europe, as well as build new links in the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
