The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a three-day weather warning from Sunday, as a surface depression moves over the UAE.

From late-night on Sunday through to Tuesday, the country will witness overcast conditions with northwesterly winds and light rain.

Motorists are warned to be extra careful while driving in the rain and poor visibility due to rising dust and sand.

The public is being urged to keep away from valleys and to avoid the rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

It follows a series of alerts about heavy fog in recent days.
