Dubai welcomed 18.72 million international overnight visitors from January to December 2024, a 9 per cent year-over-year (YoY) increase that surpasses the previous record of 17.15 million in 2023, according to data from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).

A suitcase of an Egyptian traveller which contained his travel documents and $7,000, lost after he mistakenly took another similar bag from a female traveller at Dubai International Airport, was traced and returned to him within half an hour, Dubai Police said on Sunday.
